Description

The Lone Star pad is a foam that has moderately aggressive foam cells to give it a cut rate of five out of ten but leave a finish that sits between the spitfire green all rounder and the midas touch gold pad so a really nice balance between cutting and finishing

It gets it’s name by being a pad that sits in the sweet spot between both cutting and finishing – not too aggressive but not too gentle.

Available in the original series, super series and later this year in the unique and revolutionary Elite Series design, the Lone Star super and elite series pads will feature a robust, closed-cell thermoplastic layer that’s impervious to water, oil, and solvents. This prevents certain solvents in some polishes to not be able to soak through it and thus protecting the loop velcro from premature velcro adhesive failure which is an issue that has plagued conventional pads for far too long while providing a stable foundation for the precisely formulated red foam top layer.

The foams carefully chosen and calibrated firmness level allows it to contour effectively to panel shapes well, a crucial characteristic that enables the pad to maintain efficiency while achieving a remarkably smooth glossy finish.

Whether you’re a professional detailer looking to increase efficiency without compromising quality, or an enthusiast seeking impressive results with simplified processes, the Lone Star delivers consistent, professional-grade results across rotary, random orbital, and forced rotation machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Lone Star different from other "one-step" pads on the market? The Lone Star pad has a cell size that's not too course or too gentle and in the super series design provides a stable base to transfer more power from the polisher to the paint and deliver consistent performance

What types of compounds work best with the Lone Star pad? The Lone Star works excellently with a wide variety of compounds and polishes especially single product correction liquids. 3D One, Sonax Perfect finish, koch chemie F6 or F6 and M3 and Clearcoat solutions Ceram X or XX and many others

How does the Lone Star compare to the All Rounder pad? The Lone Star offers a little less cutting power than the All Rounder but can still cut decently yet finishes out slightly better. It is a minor step down from the all rounder in regards to cutting power

What paint types are best to use this pad on Soft medium paints (one step), medium paints (after frostbite pad or wool/microfiber pads) and hard paints (finishing)

How should I clean and maintain this pad? For best results, clean the pad after each vehicle section using compressed air or a pad cleaning tool. After each job, wash with warm water and a mild pad cleaning solution, gently working the cleaner through the foam with your fingers. Allow to air dry completely before storage, and avoid storing in sealed containers until fully dry.
